Week 1 - Cultural Studies
We ask our students to look at the wider world and what the Popoverse has to offer and encourage them to share a little personal information. Homework is along the lines of:
* Pick your favourite Popmundo holiday and tell us how it is celebrated by you, your family and the city where you were born.
* Festivals and events you like from all over the popo-world.
* Choose a genre from another city and then compare the World chart to the Tokyo charts, what are the differences and why do you think they are different.
Just a couple of things that both introduce our children to the Culture of the Popoverse and at the same time providing a way for them to impart more about themselves. They can choose to, as with all homework, to put in as much or as little as they wish

Week 2 - All about Tokyo
A quiz on Tokyo, a mix of Popmundo and rl based questions. A simple way of making sure our children know as much about our city as possible
Week 3 - Quest Week
Part of our remit as educators is preparing our children for everything that may come their way - such as Kobe's Quests. Each year we choose one quest for each class to do, these will be different each year as far as is possible (Glasgow, Melbourne, Stonehenge, Istanbul, Stonehenge, Glastonbury and the Vinyl quest etc.)
The students are paired up or sent off in small groups and their homework for the week is to:
a) complete the task
b) report on it and how the group got on working together
c) what the experience meant to them
This allows the students to give a little more information about themselves and also to interact with classmates, while providing them with skills, knowledge and experience for the future Quests.

Week 4 - Philosophy (Debate) Week
Kids love to ask questions - it's in their job description! And each week we set a couple of questions for our students to think about. There's an opportunity to have our students look at all aspects of the Popoverse and how it works and to prepare them to have their say when they finally have access to the Forums. So along with our favourite suggestion from the Education thread (Ice Cream vs Fish), we ask our students to ponder such things as: Credits - good or bad? Melvin Cola - nectar of the Gods or work of the devil himself?
Week 5 - Fun Week
Exactly what it says on the tin - Fun! School can be really exhausting as a kid but it needs to be enjoyable too and after a heavy week of debate and philosophising what better way to end the school year than with a week of fun. Reminding ourselves and our students that at the end of the day we are all here to enjoy ourselves and have a bit of fun enjoying ourselves in the process.
Each year we pick a theme - Knock knock jokes, Doctor Jokes, Sports jokes etc, and we even run a competition or two. Which kid with a water gun wouldn't want to see how many Mayors they could drench in one week? And for 7 year olds - how many Sad Old Losers can they get scratching around like a banshee when they are let loose with itching powder?
